Kim Powell joined Resolve as an Operating Partner in 2020. Kim is the founder of LeaderScale Advisors, a leadership advisory firm specializing in human capital and talent management. As an advisor, board director and operating partner, she serves leadership and investors of businesses ranging from Series A to C SaaS companies to Fortune 500 corporations on topics such as management assessment, leadership development and coaching, scaling culture and organizational change.
Previously, Kim spent 8 years at ghSMART where she co-led the CEO Genome Project®, the firm’s practice supporting first-time CEOs. Her work was featured in a cover article of Harvard Business Review and in the book The CEO Next Door (Currency Publishing, 2018). The CEO Genome Project®, is an extensive research and client practice supporting CEOs and executives on the path to CEO. The research explores paths and behaviors that lead to the top, typical setbacks CEOs encounter and ways to prevent them. Prior to ghSMART, Kim spent 15 years with The Boston Consulting Group advising CEOs and senior managers of Fortune 500 companies in the areas of driving transformational change and corporate strategy. Kim lives in Atlanta with her husband and family. She earned a BA in History and French from the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
